Ambassador, Former Special Envoy for Six Party Talks with North Korea

Joe DeTrani served as the Special Envoy for Six Party Talks with North Korea and the U.S. Representative to the Korea Energy Development Organization from 2003-2006. After this service, he was appointed as an Associate Director of National Intelligence and Mission Manager for North Korea. In 2010, DeTrani was Director of National Counterproliferation Center and Special Adviser to the Director of National Intelligence. Following his government service, he was the President of the Daniel Morgan Graduate School of National Security and the President of the Intelligence and National Security Alliance. DeTrani currently serves as a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and The National Committee on North Korea.
