Restrictions

We are excited that you plan to use our content. We just have a few reminders about rights and clearances.

The Content List or menu of videos and images will tell you, if a particular piece has any restrictions.

Content with images or video clips that MIT SSP obtained the right to use and distribute (e.g., Getty images or other fee-based services) may not be used for monetary or financial gain. But the content can be used for education and related purposes. That means that content that includes images or videos from Getty or other clearing houses may not be used, for example, for fundraising campaigns or for other forms of monetary gain.

Images or video not on the Content List, for example used in building the website, require permission from the project, since they may include proprietary images.

In addition, please note that two content items from the Black Voices page are not authorized for full use by the King Estate. These are the Coretta Scott King Speaks and the Martin Luther King Nobel speech. We are claiming fair use of these items and have attributed them accordingly. However, please be advised that we do not own the video clips within this content.
